Why does one take on the challenge of a concert and fund raising event of this magnitude? Simply, because it is a cause worth working with. It may be Rock AGAINST Diabetes, and as much as a cure would be amazing for a lot of people, the reality is that people need to learn to safely live with the disease, and have resources to find and get the aid they need.
Every individual is different, and the disease affects us all differently. Many people think that a diabetic just has to cut out the sugar and all is well. This is not the case, as it can be a daily fight for life and limb. I may have lost a limb to the battle, but I will not lose my life.

The 2nd annual Rock Against Diabetes charity benefit will move from a live Vancouver venue to the sound stages of online music experience innovator Deep Rock Drive www.deeprockdrive.com . The event will be held in Las Vegas, at the Deep Rock Drive venue on August 23rd, 2008.
We see the potential that an online worldwide fan interactive broadcast could have on this very special event. An agreement has been made, and Deep Rock Drive has offered their many services to Rock Against Diabetes for the 2008 show. People are urged to visit www.deeprockdrive.com to get a full understanding of what is to be offered from this one of a kind online concert experience experience.
At this time, bands are being approached to create a lineup of 5 bands, that will help create an amazing show, that will cost the viewer approximately $6.99 per band to view, with a discounted “festival” package to be available at a discount to catch all of the bands. The online auctions of celebrity items from stars such as Jodie Foster, Kylie Minogue, Godsmack, Nicole Kidman, James Blunt, Korn, Rascal Flatts, Triumph, Kevin Bacon, Avril Lavigne and others will take place in the Spring of 2008.
